Stereotypes, whether they are negative or not, ultimately allows some to think they can get away with categorizing people and being racist. With these false stereotypes, it makes people feel as though they are not even human beings. That’s a real problem.

In an ideal world, academic achievement would never influence a person’s perceived self-worth as a productive member of society. Welcome back to “Real Talk.” Today Op-ed Editor Abri Hausman and Staff Writer Jordan Owens sit down to talk about the expense of school lunches. Year after year school lunches seem to increase in price, which left unchecked will take away the ability for low income households to afford food for their children. Obviously, school lunches will never be free because all food costs something, but the school should explore different more cost effective to options for their lunch program. Otherwise, students may go hungry. And that’s a real problem.

In the second special edition “From the Panther Pit Box,” Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton and Sports Editor Jenna Sanders recap Saturday’s action at the track. The episode includes interviews from Peachtree City native Garrett Smithley, young truck driver Natalie Decker, and WSB-TV and PRN’s own Doug Turnbull.

Welcome back to “Real Talk.” In this episode, Staff Writer Sophia Bender and Op-ed Editor Abri Hausman sit down to talk about the line from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, “‘Be myself.’ What kind of garbage advice is that?” There's no real way to know what your true personality is because you’re always changing your personality depending on who you’re with. Maybe we just have little people running around inside our heads like Spongebob that represent our different personalities. While it’s interesting to think about, it’s not a real problem.

On the 20th episode of “From the Panther Pit,” Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton and Staff Writer Ben Barkley sit down to talk about the transition from winter to spring sports. The two catch up on the basketball region tournament, the soccer teams’ first games against Greater Atlanta Christian Academy, as well as dance, lacrosse, swim, and baseball.

After winning the school level Poetry Out Loud competition, junior Monika Pawlowska represented Starr’s Mill at the region level. Staff Writer Mary Jane Gagliano talks to Pawlowska and English teacher Brandon Kendall about the competition.

In the 19th episode of “From the Panther Pit,” Staff Writers Ty Odom and Ben Barkley sit down as the transition from winter to spring sports gets going. The two talk about swimming and numerous state qualifiers, basketball’s varsity doubleheader against Fayette County and what to expect in the region playoffs, and an in depth look at both soccer teams before their first scrimmage against Spalding.
