Welcome back to “Real Talk.” In this episode, Staff Writers Grace Maneein and Jordan Owens sit down to talk about junior year. Initially starting with a brief conversation detailing the plights of junior year, we quickly shift to discussing our plans for the future and what we learned from the past. We both entered high school as first-born siblings with nobody to look up to, and that’s a real problem.

The two talk about swimming’s 19th straight County Championship, wrestling’s run in the GHSA Duals State Championship, and possible history making events for both basketball teams.

The two discuss wrestling duals winning the region and advancing to the state championships, and preview basketball heading into back-to-back rivalry games this weekend.

Welcome back to “Real Talk.” In this episode, Staff Writers Sophia Bender, Grace Maneein, and Jordan Owens sit down to talk about the popular author Cassandra Clare. Clare is best known for her series “The Infernal Devices,” a fantasy series with wizards, magic, vampires and more. The three girls all have varying opinions on the well known author, and that’s a real problem.

In a special edition of “From the Panther Pit,” Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton discusses the recent events in Starr’s Mill basketball. Junior Alice Anne Hudson became just the second female basketball player to surpass 1,000 career points… and she’s only a junior.

On the 15th episode of “From the Panther Pit,” Staff Writer Ty Odom joins Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton as the two discuss fall sports and where they stand before the holiday break. With interviews from both basketball coaches as well as junior girls’ basketball player Alice Anne Hudson, the duo breakdown swimming, basketball, wrestling and the current Director’s Cup standings.

In an ideal world, everyone would just have some self-control and personal hygiene on a school-sanctioned event. However, that’s not the case and that's a real problem.

The two talk about the recent success that has fallen upon the Mill with swim having several state qualifiers, as well as, the basketball teams’ victories against McIntosh.

On the 13th episode of “From the Panther Pit” for the 20181-19 school year, Staff Writer Ty Odom joins Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton as the two discuss the beginning of winter sports. The episode includes interviews with both varsity basketball head coaches, Charlemagne Gibbons and Emily Sweeney.

Welcome back to “Real Talk.” In this episode, Staff Writer Sophia Bender and Op-ed Editor Abri Hausman sit down to give you a little bit of hope and advice. It’s okay to be selfish from time to time and take care of what matters: yourself. You need to be in a healthy mindset before you can put others before your own needs. Doing it the other way around is a real problem.

The cast list for the Starr’s Mill Drama Department was announced on Nov. 10 for the spring musical entitled, “Back to the '80s.' The Prowler catches up with drama director Savahna Silvas and other cast members to discuss the upcoming show. The episode also includes interviews with cheerleading head coach Heather McNally, first-year cross country runner junior James Hindy, boys' basketball player senior Nate Allison, and girls' basketball player junior Alice Anne Hudson.

In the ninth episode of “From the Panther Pit,” Editor-in-Chief Rilee Stapleton and Staff Writer Ben Barkley sit down as fall sports come to a close. The two talk about volleyball’s playoff successes in the first two rounds, cross country’s region championship results, softball’s season ending loss to Locust Grove, and the football team’s big-time matchup against Riverdale.

Welcome back to “Real Talk.” Today, Op-Ed Editor Abri Hausman and Staff Writer Grace Maneein talk about the types of Halloween decorations. In the spirit of the spooky season, people should have at least some decorations, but the problem lies in how scary those decorations should be. If they’re too gory they’ll scare the kids, but if they’re too childish they’ll bore the teenagers and adults. And that’s a real problem.

In the eighth episode of “From the Panther Pit,” Sports Editor Jenna Sanders and Staff Writer Ben Barkley sit down to recap this week in sports. The two talk about what is to come in the future with softball and volleyball being in the GHSA state playoffs. Also included is an interview with varsity cheer coach Heather McNally.

Both are body alterations that society has deemed “unprofessional.” These aren’t unprofessional though -- they're just another form of self-expression. Censoring hair dye and tattoos is a real problem.
