Sinopse
"An object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a force." - Newton's first law of motionOur lives seem to just move along a certain path until something happens. We feel stuck, we coast along, perhaps we struggle. In each case, we tend to remain in that state until a force is exerted upon us. And in our lives there are two forces that consistently produce change: people and technology. At some point in everyone's life, a person comes along and leaves an indelible mark that forever changes us. This person could be a parent, a colleague, a boss, a coach, a teacher, a mentor, or a random stranger that says just the right thing at just the right time. Regardless of job title or industry, each of us can trace back our success to the influence of someone in our lives. Similarly, technology has disrupted the status quo since the invention of fire and tools. None of us can sit idly by while new technologies disrupt the world around us. Shareable is a show about people and technologies that change our lives, and we talk to some of the most extraordinary people to learn how these two forces changed their direction in life.I'm Jeff Gibbard, a naturally curious professional brain picker. I started a social business agency in 2011 because I've been fascinated by the intersection of people and technology for my entire life. This is the shareable podcast. No, seriously. At the end of this episode go tell someone about it.
