Wes Fahlenkamp is back on to discuss “the dead in Christ.”  We’ve heard it all the time.  “They’re in a better place.”  “They’re with Jesus now.”  “They are walking on streets of gold.”  But every now and then, you get the less exciting point of view from some one who is convinced that the dead in Christ are totally dead, asleep, their consciousness waiting to be revived when Jesus resurrects the dead.  Today, you get that less exciting point of view from Wes Fahlenkamp.

Can autonomous intelligent beings be created or will these “beings” always be machines with complex spreadsheets? If these beings can be created, what does this say about God? Speaking of God, what sort of evidence for “him” is out there, what prejudices affect our conclusions, and are Christians right in their beliefs, dishonest, mislead or just plain stupid? Levi and I have some common experiences with depression and have both gone through some dark times as of lately.  Listen to this spoken word extraordinaire discuss these bad times and how its affected his marriage, his art and his life in general.  Levi Mcallister was also deeply involved in the now defunct church, Mars Hill (Seattle WA), and on this episode, reflects on the pain of seeing it internally self-destruct.

Some folks believe that God always wants to heal.  If He does, why aren’t we all healed?  Who’s fault is it that we aren’t?  If it’s people’s responsibility to pray hard enough but God can heal any time he wants, is He playing games with us?  Such a confusing web of thoughts to navigate; unless, God just doesn’t always want to heal.  One of our guests isn’t willing to make this concession.  Jack and Chip, both regulars on PWNA are friends, work together and are very different in their approaches to the Christian faith, especially in regards to healing.
