PiCast Episode 190  - The Nanny   No we didn’t get a Nanny, Brittany has been binge watching The Nanny series on HBOMax. If you don’t know the story:   She was working in a bridal shop in Flushing, Queens,  Til her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes.  What was she to do, where was she to go  She was out on her fanny.    So over the bridge from Flushing to the Sheffield's door,  She was there to sell make up but the father saw more,  She had style, she had flair, she was there,  That's how she became the Nanny.    Who would have guessed that the girl we described  was just exactly what the doctor prescribed?    Now, the father finds her beguiling, watch out C.C.,  And the kids are actually smiling, such joie de vivre  She's the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan.  The flashy girl from Flushing, the Nanny named Fran.   We are approaching episode 200! PiCast Episode 187 - Cardboardia While Brittany took care of the baby, Scott had a fun conversation with Ryan from Cardboardia. Ryan also used to own the local comic book store so he is no stranger to the world of geeky niche retail. We talk about all of that as Cardboardia gets ready for its grand opening on August 28th 2021. They will have live play almost every night of the week. PiCast Episode 180 - Disneyland: The Return Alas, we are all merely Legacy Passholders now. Relegated to paying full price (depending on the tier) for admission to the Happiest place on Earth. Plus, Xander is 4 now so we have to buy him a ticket too! I know these are minor complaints, but when you are used to having a pass and going whenever you like without trying to beat the clock to get value for your money, it’s hard to go back to a single day ticket. PiCast Episode 179 - It’s a boy Well for anyone not following any of our other social media, surprise! It’s a boy. We took placement of a newborn boy as foster parents for the 3rd time. We thought we were done for now, but life has a way of keeping you on your toes. He is a sibling of our daughter who we just finalized adoption in April (see episode 177) and we are honored to love and care for him as long as he is with us.  On that note, our Voicemail friend also listened to episode 177 and was inspired to call us.
