We finish out Season 1 of the VGBS gaming podcast with a bang! We start off with the amazing Famicom horizontal shmup Crisis Force. We then go into some of our favorite moments from the season and get heavy into the gaming community as a whole. All this and more!  This is VGBS!

In this Side Quest we go over some of our favorite gaming memories growing up. We each have a different aspect to how we got into collecting later in life and it is really cool to see how we all go there. One last side quest until the Season 1 finale!  This is VGBS!

This Side Quest was recorded a long time ago, when we were all together recording in the same room, and obviously drinking a lot of beer. Strider for the NES is on tap for the boys this week. Notorious for glitchy controls and nonlinear gameplay, does this game continue to uphold Capcom’s NES standard of quality? Also how does it hold up to the arcade version? All this and more!  This is VGBS!

We start off talking about Kevin Power in TooManyGames, a Limited Edition NES homebrew game that Jeff got at the recent gaming convention. We then go into NES ROM hacking and some of our ideas. We finally go into some details on Jeff’s Kickstarter project, “The Complete NES” which was recently successfully funded when this was recorded. Of course as we always do, we all go off on many tangents and keep things as crazy as possible!  This is VGBS!

We tackle the BS homework game Shatterhand for the NES. It’s an action platform game that has a pretty steady difficulty curve. Can we beat this hidden gem of a Nintendo Game?  This is VGBS!

Jeff went to TooManyGames 2015 this year and goes over his crazy story. We go over popular YouTubers, games creators and The Complete NES Kickstarter campaign. As always, we hold nothing back.  This is VGBS!

This week we do a roll up of the next BS Homework game, Bionic Commando for the Nintendo Entertainment System. How does the lack of jumping effect our experience with this Capcom classic? Swing right in and find out!

We go over our thoughts on the new Castlevania inspired kickstarter campaign called Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night by Koji Igarashi. Also, we talk predictions about the new Nintendo World Championships 2015 competition and much, much more!  This is VGBS.

This is an early recording around the same time Episode 2 was recorded. We go over the response to the Episode 1 topic of the Angry Video Game Nerd from listeners. Also, during a time before we tackled Rondo of Blood, we go over Castlevania Hidden Games. Kyle also focuses on his trials and tribulations of 100%ing Grand Theft Auto Vice City. The bullshit homework this week is King’s Quest III and we not only give the DOS version a review, but also the PC Redux remake. We also go into many different news topics and talk about changes that are happening within the gaming industry.  This is VGBS.

Continuing after the last Episode, this Side Quest takes us on our continued journey into the world of Chrono Trigger. We also go off on tangents into some great stories.

Behold the elusive Episode 10! This week not only do have do a wrap-up of the Bullshit Homework game from the past two weeks, Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood for the PC Engine, but we also talk with the arcade legend himself, founder of Twin Galaxies, Walter Day! We go on a trip through memory lane with Walter and talk about why some games are still played to this day and what truly makes a game timeless. Welcome to the awesomeness that is VGBS…
