This Hobbycast consists of anything and everything we are interested in and obsessed with. Moving away from strictly gaming, VGBS has evolved into a Militia! In this inaugural episode, we go over the passing of Lemmy from Motorhead, the new Quentin Tarantino Flick The Hateful Eight, Destiny for current generation systems, Undertale on the PC and the old school PC game Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. Episode 37 has us talking about some of the gaming items that we recently picked up. Jeff received a bunch of NES homebrew competition carts and goes over the ins and outs of each. Kyle picked up a cheap Windows 95 Laptop so he can play old school PC games. That leads us into a whole discussion about classic MS DOS versus emulated DOSBox. We also likely go down the river multiple times throughout!  This is VGBS!

In Episode 36 of the cast we go over some Gaming Convention stories and why they are a really cool aspect to the gaming hobby as a whole. We also go over some tips on how we upgraded our recording quality for the podcast.  This is VGBS!

We are excited to announce our new co-host Daria to the VGBS crew! She brings a much needed female perspective to the podcast, however don’t get it wrong as she’s definitely on our level! This week we tackle Gunstar Heroes for the Sega Genesis. Is this game as good as all the critics say it is? As always we have more than a few opinions on this game…. This is VGBS!

David is a very interesting guy who has had multiple Apple II game releases; including Dino Eggs, Short Circuit and Crisis Mountain. He has a remake of Dino Eggs, dubbed Rebirth, that is on Steam Greenlight. We dive into stories from David’s experience as an 80s programmers and what it was like back then as a video game programmer.  This is VGBS!

Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts is a brutally difficult platformer for the Super Nintendo. What did we think of this test of skill and did we get the Goddess Bracelet?  This is VGBS!
