Lead Pastor Carl Gulley kicked off our Christmas series titled Hark! In this season, when there are so many different sounds and songs, we can forget to look at Jesus and remember why He came. Carl challenged us to listen carefully and return to the truth that God is love, allowing His love to go deep into our hearts. Spanish Pastor Marcial Samaniego shared his testimony and talked about the paths of our lives and the steps we take along the way. He challenged us to surrender our lives to Jesus, obey His leading and trust in His plan because God’s plans are better than any we could create on our own.

Global Director Don Steadman shared God's heart for the unreached and poor of the world. There is a part of God's heart that we can only get to know when we involve our lives with the poor and needy. Senior Pastor Jimmy Seibert wrapped up our 40 Days of Breakthrough series. He recapped each week and the different breakthrough areas that were covered. We ended with a challenge to view breakthrough not as an experience but rather a lifestyle, believing that there are still areas where God wants to breakthrough in our lives.

Senior Pastor Jimmy Seibert finished our 40 Days of Breakthrough series with a message on calling. We dove into Proverbs 3:5-6, looking at the importance of trust. When we are faced with a decision about our calling, Jimmy challenged us to trust in the Lord, trust from the bottom of our hearts and trust that we do not have to figure out everything on our own.

How we view finances should not be determined by what we have or what we do but by our heart posture. We can honor God with what we have and choose to live simply, work diligently and give generously.

Unresolved offense can lead to unforgiveness, which creates a blockage, clogging our hearts and relationships. Jimmy challenged us to align our hearts to God, drop our offense and press into our relationships with a forgiving heart.

Lead Pastor Carl Gulley continued our 40 Days of Breakthrough series with a message on emotions. He encouraged us to flip the way we view emotions, troubles and theology. Instead of allowing our emotions to dictate the way we view God, we are challenged to allow our emotions to flow through our theology and anchor our emotions in God.

Lead Pastor Carl Gulley continued our 40 Days of Breakthrough series with a message on sin. If we are seeking breakthrough from sin, we don't need more information but rather application. With three specific challenges from the story of Zacchaeus, we can press into desperation for Jesus over information, stop hiding and take a radical step of obedience.

Jesus' life, death and resurrection are central because He made a way for us. Jesus is the bridge, taking us from sin, guilt, and shame to redemption, truth and grace through a relationship with Him.

Senior Pastor, Jimmy Seibert, set the vision for our upcoming series, 40 Days of Breakthrough, by looking at the life of David, the giants he faced and how God showed Himself to be the God of the breakthrough. Jimmy encouraged us to press into five areas these next 40 days: prayer, promise, people, personal change and praise, as we find a breakthrough for ourselves and others.

Carl recapped key lessons we learned throughout the series and highlighted parallels between Jonah's story and Jesus. Jesus, unlike Jonah, loved His enemies and He offers us not just reconciliation, but resurrection if we say yes and follow Him.

Lead Pastor Carl Gulley continued our series on the life of Jonah titled Whales + Worms - Our reluctance. His relentlessness. God provided in a variety of ways for Jonah, including ways that he didn't necessarily want, all to align Jonah's heart with His heart. When our hearts and concerns do not match God's, God will provide a "worm" to get our attention and realign us with what He cares about.

God is the God of second chances, as we saw through the story of the city Nineveh. Carl challenged us to not only receive grace and mercy for ourselves, but to extend it to those around us because we never know when people are on the verge of a breakthrough.

Carl challenged us to be a people who pray specifically, with strength and using scripture. When we allow ourselves to become broken and surrendered to God, He has the freedom to work within us to take us to our destiny.

He called us to live lives of obedience that look beyond the inconvenience of temporary for the victory of the future. Throughout our series, we'll be looking at our own reluctance and how God relentlessly pursues us in the midst of it.

This week we celebrated our twentieth anniversary as a church with senior pastor Jimmy Seibert sharing stories from the past two decades. We looked back on God's faithfulness to us as a church and looked expectantly toward what He has for us in the future. As we each continue to say yes to Jesus, we enter into what we were created for – to be a people who have a passion for Jesus and His purpose in the earth.
