In less than a year, our Bedford campus has grown from a prayer and a step of faith into a beautiful reality. Let’s celebrate what God has done and look at where He’s leading us next!

God’s timing can sometimes seem inconvenient. Just ask Lazarus. So what do we do when it feels like Jesus doesn’t show up when we want Him to?

Sometimes in pursuit of good, we pursue some big charitable event or gift. But in the meantime, we step across the people right in front of us to get there. What would it look like to serve the people God has put in our everyday lives?

When we hear people talking about giving, we may have a strong reaction. Maybe it makes us feel guilty. Maybe it makes us feel angry. Maybe it makes us feel motivated. But what if giving isn’t really about your money? Come this week to hear how people at Blue Ridge have been “rich” in our community — and around the world.

As we move toward a season of Thanksgiving, we begin to think of those things that mean the most to us. This week we take time to reflect on what we are grateful for — and what we can do in response.

As we’ve traveled The Roundabout Way these last six weeks, we’ve seen how difficult and hard-pressed the journey can be. But we also have witnessed God’s faithfulness — in the small details and the big picture. Today, we celebrate our Covenant-Keeping God and share Communion together.

Often when we take a journey, our whole focus is the destination. The Israelites were no different. They looked forward to the promised land. But what, if like Dorothy in the "Wizard of Oz," we find that what we are looking for, is different than what we are focused on?

Remember when you were a kid and things didn’t go your way? Sometimes you just threw a fit. On the floor, arms and legs flailing. Unfortunately, that doesn’t go over so well when you’re an adult. So when hard times come, how should we respond? What do we do when the Roundabout Way feels too hard?

Just do it. Get the job done. Take care of business. God helps those who help themselves. Isn’t there a verse in the Bible that says that? Find out what the Bible actually says, as we continue on the Roundabout Way.

Picture Indiana Jones. We all want to be like that. Adventurous, brave, ready to tackle anything — except snakes! Yet, as we journey into the unknown of our lives, the scary and the uncertain often make us doubt whether we should go on. In those hard places, do we want to return to what we know? How do we stay strong as we travel the roundabout way?

In math, we learn that 2+2=4. In life, we learn that despite our best intentions and inputs, the outcome can be far different than we expected. So what do we do when the journey of our lives takes a detour into rough terrain? Why can’t we just take an easier road?

If you ask people what baptism means to them, you may get a lot of different answers. For some, it was a ceremony as a baby. For others it was a confirmation as an adolescent. At Blue Ridge, we make a big deal about baptism. Why is that? Why celebrate it and what is it even supposed to mean?

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are so many tough situations, so many questions, so much uncertainty. This week we look at the one place where we can find truth — and how we can apply this truth in our lives.

In today’s “What’s in it for me” world, serving may seem like a pretty tough topic. Yet, as you dig into what this really means, you may be surprised that serving is exactly what your heart was made for.
