Three components to fire: Heat, Fuel & Oxygen. Heat = Holy Spirit/Word of God (Chapter 8) Fuel = Heart of Repentance (Chapters 9-10) Oxygen = Community (Chapters 11-12) Neglecting your need for community by claiming to be above it is as foolish as pretending you can live without oxygen.

Fire Components: Heat, Fuel & Oxygen. Heat = Holy Spirit/Word of God. Fuel = Heart of Repentance. Repentance is turning from sin and trusting in the Savior. (Acts3:19) It's the goodness of God that leads to repentance-which is a way of life.

What is revival? It is an intensification of the normal work of the Holy Spirit making Christ more real to us. Three components to fire: Heat, Fuel & Oxygen.

I believe that the evidence surrounding the claims of Christianity is simply overwhelming & its message simply irresistible. But what if I still have doubts?

Pastors Scott Fameli and Daren Dirksen bring the church up to speed on the various DB outreach efforts across the globe as well as an update to our building project.

Christ's severest warnings were not given to atheists but to very religious people. Jesus' teaching consistently attracted the irreligious while offending the Bible-believing, religious people of His day.

Dogmatic Assertion: Absolute truth is a straightjacket. It harms and erodes freedom. Everyone deserves the right to determine their own truth.

The Doctrine of Hell is a topic we can't afford to be wrong on. Jesus spoke about hell more often & in more vivid terms than anyone else in the Bible.

It is a question that is as old as the first tear, and as recent as the latest newscast. People defect from the faith because they are deceived by the pleasures of life and/or disillusioned by the pressures of life intensified by the skeptics all around us in life.

Test the spirits.

Thesis: You can reason to a point of probability (proof) beyond a reasonable doubt that the Bible is reliable & building your life on it is a brilliant thing to do.

The Gospel is head sound (rational) and heart satisfying (relational). Christ not only appeals to our minds but He also fills our hearts.

There's no status quo in the Christian life...you're either going forward or going back. Momentum is sustained forward progress.

Stamina = (Webster's) the strength required to withstand fatigue or hardship

Nehemiah's passion for the glory of God and for the good of others has driven him to lead the people to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. They have met a lot of opposition but nothing has halted the project... Until now! Nehemiah and the people get a much needed integrity check. Let us take time to also check ours.

The extent to which two people in a relationship can bring up & resolve issues is an important sign of relational health.

What is Satan's most effective scheme against you? Is it Pride, Anger, Envy, Lust, Greed, Gluttony or Laziness? NO...Discouragement, resulting from Opposition! Have you felt like giving up lately? How do you press on beyond those quitting points? 2Cor4:7-9

Nehemiah has the impossible task of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. What do you do when the odds are against you? How do you face impossibilities?

How do you keep your life full of zeal & fervor for the Lord? Finding our deepest satisfaction in God is not a luxury but a necessity for not only displaying God's greatness & goodness but to sustain us through the very painful and wearisome task of rebuilding brokenness.
