Revelation 7. As John's vision continues he sees the great multitude of God's people gathered from history, and is assured of the certainty of salvation because of the sacrifice of the Lamb. No matter what persecution may come, God's people have been sealed for eternity.

Revelation 6. Like an MRI scan of the human body, God draws back the curtain of human history and shows John (and us) the spiritual realities behind the physical world we live in and experience.

CS Lewis famously said 'I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else'. In this sermon Simon explores four things that we take for granted in life, but which only make sense when seen through the lens of the Gospel.

Revelation 5. John's vision continues as he sees into the Throne Room of Heaven and sees why Jesus is uniquely qualified to be the Saviour of the World.

Revelation 4. We are invited to enter the throne room of heaven and be transformed by the glory of God.

Remembrance Sunday. Revelation 21:1-7

Joshua 24. In the longest of Joshua's final speeches to the Israelites he reminds the people again of God's faithfulness and challenges them to serve the one true God and Him alone.

Joshua 23. As he nears the end of his life Joshua reminds the people of Israel what God has done for them and urges them to remain faithful, reminding them of the terrible consequences of not doing so.

Joshua 22. We find our identity in a God who is faithful to us in every way and who keeps all His promises. Our response to Him, therefore, must be one of devotion and self-sacrifice.

Joshua 13-21. God has promised us a wonderful inheritance, summarised in Jesus' promise that He had come to bring us fulness of life. But we must be bold and persistent in pushing in and taking all that God has promised us.

2 Timothy 3. In an age when Christians are often so afraid to stand up for Biblical truth we are exhorted to be bold in speaking 'the truth in love' and to give the 'reason for the hope that we have'.

Joshua 10:1-28. As the people of God face yet another conflict two key themes emerge - 1. we either choose to face God and respond to his invitation to be in relationship with Him, or turn our backs on Him, with serious consequences for either choice; 2. and a faithful God calls us to be faithful in all we do.

Joshua 9. After the victory at Ai the people of God face further opposition from the inhabitants of the Promised Land, and fail to consult the Lord when faced with a crucial decision.

Joshua 8:30-35. Joshua and the people of God pause in their taking of the Promised Land to remind themselves of their identity, which is shaped by worship of the Living God and devotion to His law.

Romans 12:1-8. 'In view of God's mercy' Paul commends believers to offer themselves to Christ as 'living sacrifices', to not 'conform to the pattern of this world', and to 'renew their minds'.

Joshua 5:13 - 6:27. As soon as the Israelites set foot in the Promised Land they encounter an obstacle that must be overcome before they can go any further - Jericho. The lessons they learn as God teaches them how to overcome it will set them in good stead for the future; and we can learn and apply the same lessons we take our own 'Promised Land.'

Joshua 5:1-12. The Israelites have crossed the Jordan and their enemies are running scared, but rather than press home the victory and move on into the Promised Land, God tells Joshua to stop. Why?
