A Great Multitude
16/12/2018Revelation 7. As John's vision continues he sees the great multitude of God's people gathered from history, and is assured of the certainty of salvation because of the sacrifice of the Lamb. No matter what persecution may come, God's people have been sealed for eternity.

Who can stand?
09/12/2018Revelation 6. Like an MRI scan of the human body, God draws back the curtain of human history and shows John (and us) the spiritual realities behind the physical world we live in and experience.

Reasons to Believe
02/12/2018CS Lewis famously said 'I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else'. -
Staying Holy
21/10/2018Joshua 23. As he nears the end of his life Joshua reminds the people of Israel what God has done for them and urges them to remain faithful, reminding them of the terrible consequences of not doing so.
-
Staying Faithful to a Faithful God
14/10/2018Joshua 22. We find our identity in a God who is faithful to us in every way and who keeps all His promises. Our response to Him, therefore, must be one of devotion and self-sacrifice.
-
Take all the land!
30/09/2018Joshua 13-21. God has promised us a wonderful inheritance, summarised in Jesus' promise that He had come to bring us fulness of life. But we must be bold and persistent in pushing in and taking all that God has promised us.
-
Trust Truth!
23/09/20182 Timothy 3. In an age when Christians are often so afraid to stand up for Biblical truth we are exhorted to be bold in speaking 'the truth in love' and to give the 'reason for the hope that we have'.
-
Choose Life!
16/09/2018Joshua 10:1-28. As the people of God face yet another conflict two key themes emerge - 1. we either choose to face God and respond to his invitation to be in relationship with Him, or turn our backs on Him, with serious consequences for either choice; 2. and a faithful God calls us to be faithful in all we do.
-
Don't be deceived?
09/09/2018Joshua 9. After the victory at Ai the people of God face further opposition from the inhabitants of the Promised Land, and fail to consult the Lord when faced with a crucial decision.
-

The Battle Belongs to the Lord
22/07/2018Joshua 5:13 - 6:27. As soon as the Israelites set foot in the Promised Land they encounter an obstacle that must be overcome before they can go any further - Jericho. The lessons they learn as God teaches them how to overcome it will set them in good stead for the future; and we can learn and apply the same lessons we take our own 'Promised Land.'

Doing things God's way
15/07/2018Joshua 5:1-12. The Israelites have crossed the Jordan and their enemies are running scared, but rather than press home the victory and move on into the Promised Land, God tells Joshua to stop. Why?
