He founded Sports Conditioning in Staten Island and developed programs for weight reduction, cosmetic enhancement, general fitness, and health and rehabilitation. Dr Ben owned and supervised a number of private fitness and health centers from the early 1970s. He also developed and owned spine and cardio vascular rehabilitation centers, where he used his S.Ma.R.T.-EX™ program. Arjan Meijer - How To Fit HIT Around A Very Physical Job (#166)
24/10/2018 Duração: 01h30minArjan Meijer is from the Netherlands and has been training with weights since the 80s. He's done it all, read it all, and heard it all. He's tried high volume traditional weight training, Dorian Yates style high intensity training, Mike Mentzer consolidation routines, and much more. Arjan competed in two natural body building competitions at age 22 and 23, coming second place in the first and sixth place in the second. Despite being a fairly strong responder to resistance training, Arjan found Dorian Yates's approach to be too much still. This was primarily because he was, and still is, working in a very physical job in a meat factory. Not able to cope with the demands of both, in 2005, Arjan abandoned high intensity training for 3 years, losing most of his hard earned muscle mass. He also runs his own business, Ad Ligtvoet Training Therapy Nutrition, which focuses on helping people restore metabolic health through an efficient and practical application concerning muscle training and nutrition. The exercise programme takes place at Ad’s private facility and his nutrition counselling is based on the Bodymed system. As a young adult, Ad trained for 2-hours per day, 7-days a week.
