We can learn some valuable lessons for our current time from the story of Jonah, whose episode is often overlooked within the seldom searched chapters of the Minor Prophets. We take our text at the point where the Prophet of God is in rebellion. He is running from God. Desirously unconscious to the danger of his fellow passengers and crew, he is hiding within the Ship, below the deck. But the searching eye of God finds him and with the stirring of his hand, a perilous storm erupts.
