Shame is the emotion that tries to paralyze you because of guilt! Isaiah the prophet tells us, "For your shame you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them." (Isaiah 61:7) Shame in the passage above is the Hebrew word "bosheth" which means both the "feeling of shame AND the condition of shame . . . as well as its cause." It can also include "confusion."
