I spoke with Afshin Behnia, the CEO of Mitratech, a provider of legal matter management and e-billing software. We discussed trends in the legal industry and the economic impact of the recession. He reported an upward trend in litigation caused by, among other factors, increased regulation and stronger enforcement. He also highlighted that corporations could realize material savings on legal fees through coordinated outside counsel management and implementing a preferred counsel program.
