John 12:26 states; Whoever serves me must follow me and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me. To become involved in Gods' work you must be a servant, many scripture passages describe Jesus as God's Servant. He came as a servant to accomplish God's will in the redemption of humanity. Paul described Jesus servant attitude and commended it to us in this way: (Php 2:5) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. (Php 2:6) who, being in very nature God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped. (Php 2:7)But made himself nothing,taking the very nature of a servant being made in human likeness. (Php 2:8)Being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross!
