As we complain about the high costs for our quest to rule the world, the vendors begin asking how much money we make for our quest. Oh no, have we walked into an ambush? Are these simple innocent vendors? Or are they breaking a rule regarding whether it is alright to ask someone how much money they make? Are we able to separate one's salary from their self-worth? Can we be comfortable with assuming an individual's implied wealth? Or should we be completely comfortable and open about these details so that we as a society can learn from this data?
