What would it look like for the Church to become a place where Louisville’s dividing lines no longer separate us? In this service, we celebrate two baptisms and the official launch of Northeast Christian Church’s Grinstead Campus. Pastor Tyler then begins our new sermon series, “A Series for the 'Ville: The Unchanging Truth of God for the Ever-Changing Needs of Our City,” with a message titled “A City Divided.” Together, we examine some of the walls of hostility that have divided Louisville, including partisan politics, denominationalism, racial prejudice, and socioeconomic separation. While our city may be divided, Scripture reminds us that the Church is uniquely equipped to demonstrate a different way—one centered on Jesus. True unity does not require us to erase our differences. Instead, God brings people together through shared truth, a shared mission, and shared forgiveness.
