Rooted in the darker side of electronic music and shaped by years spent immersed in dimly lit rooms and packed dancefloors, Connor Young’s sound is driven by a deep connection to club culture and the energy of the dancefloor. His sonic palette is eclectic, moving across house, electro, breaks and beyond, but deep, trudging and hypnotic techno is where his heart lies. For Connor, it is more than a sound. It’s a feeling and an ethos. He has immersed himself in the culture surrounding the music, travelling far & wide for parties and absorbing the different ways it can be presented, from the mechanics of tension and release within a DJ set to the more physical relationship between sound, space and movement.
