Drawing from John 13, Jesus' act of washing the disciples' feet—including Judas, who would betray him—is an example of servant leadership and unconditional love. We should have an eternal perspective, and demonstrate God's grace even to those who might hurt, reject, or think differently than us. The heart of Jesus challenges us to shift from a self-centered mindset to a posture of humility and service, highlighting that loving God and loving others are not optional recommendations but essential. Ultimately, we are called to recognize that the capacity to love and serve is a direct response to the love we have received through Jesus.
