Coach Beam and his Laney Eagles grab their first win of the season last week dominating Feather River 60-14. Laney had nearly 3 backs go over 100yds on the ground and the team ran the ball 53 times for 428 yards at 8.1 per. This week coach Beam jumps inside the huddle along with his RB coach, KC Adams. Vaughn gives us some insight on him and his family growing up in Oakland, CA and playing football. Vaughn shares what his high school recruiting process was like and what lead him to CSM (College of San Mateo). Coming out of CSM, Vaughn was the number 1 WR in the country and eventually committed to Oregon. We get him to share his time playing under Chip Kelly and his offense. This week inside the huddle Coach Dlane and Coach Walters travel to Rob Ben's restaurant in Emeryville, CA for a in depth interview with Oakland's own Josh Johnson.  With Oakland being known for having athletes, Josh was the first black quarterback from Oakland, CA to make it to the NFL. We cover Josh early playing career at Oakland Tech High School and San Diego University under Jim Harbaugh. We also get Josh to speak on his time with the Washington Redskins last season and almost leading them to the playoffs. A conversation with Coach John Beam: This week inside the huddle Coach DLane & Coach Walters travel to the home of the Junior College National Champions, Laney College in Oakland, CA. For an in depth interview with Bay Area legend, head coach John Beam. Coach Beam walks us through the journey of his coaching career where he started in 1979 at Serra High School in the San Diego area, before making his way in 1982 to East Oakland and joining Skyline High School. Coach Beam went on to dominate not only majority of the 80s but the whole 90s bay area high school football scene. Beam won 15 league championships, 11 section championships along with 4 undefeated seasons. During his time at Skyline High School, John Beam produced more Division 1 players than anyone else in Northern California, sending more than 100 football players to the Division 1 level.In 2004, coach Beam joined the Laney College football staff, 2005 Beam elevates to Offensive Coordinator.
