We don’t only interview musicians we also interview people in the entertainment industry and if you haven’t heard of Alex Nation well you might not be following Pop culture close enough! Alex rose to fame on the Bachelor winning the fourth season here in Australia and sweeping Richie Strahan off his feet. She opened up about what life is like on a reality TV show. The ups and downs of fame and as always was super honest about every question thrown her way! Also needed to slip in there that no matter how the media portrays anyone don’t always believe it. Hello 2020!  We are back and ohhh the line-up we have in store for you. First up to kick start Season 2 we have Jay Bovino, the lead guitarist, co-writer and co-founding member of Australian ARIA award winners ‘Sheppard’. I’m sure you know the song ‘Geronimo’ Jay co-wrote that song with Amy and George Sheppard.  Jay is an absolute legend and hearing the story of how Sheppard came to be, how their hit music was created and also how they remain to be independent musicians in Australia was eye opening. There is so much to learn from Jay and like most of our guests that experience success they stay as humble as ever! Enjoy.

2019 has been a massive year at Coach Music Academy. Celebrating the opening of our official studio in Frankston, located within a beautifully designed warehouse. Our coaching expanded to include Musical Theatre training, alongside our strong foundations in artist development, songwriting, and industry pathways. We were host to four workshops including 'How to Start Busking and Gigging' featuring 'The Buskers Guide' Founders, 'Harmonies' with Ash Kennedy, Elle Murphy and Hayley Noy,  'Acting' with Channel 9 star Riley Nottingham, and a 2-hour special guest workshop from Bachelor Girl’s, Tania Doko.   Our students continued to shine this year and we were proud to celebrate the success of long-time student ‘Tulliah’ as a finalist in Triple J's Unearthed High. Her first single 'Company' gained recognition, and she finished the year by supporting superstar Amy Shark. The Coach Music Podcast has garnered a loyal following of listeners and we can’t thank you guys enough for tuning in! We will be back in early 2020

Dabbling in solo projects before taking on his role firmly behind the scenes, his strong attention to melody and vocal production has made him a valuable asset to the artists he works with. Maverick Newman is an award-winning Actor/Writer from Melbourne, Australia. He graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts better known as WAAPA in 2018 with a B.A. in Music Theatre. Maverick has already garnered 4 Green Room Award nominations for his debut one-man musical comedy “Finding Felix: A Memoir” of which he toured nationally in 2017-18. The cabaret also led to a Viceland Documentary on SBS. In 2018, after winning the ‘Julie Michael Cabaret Award’ with his so-written and co-starring cabaret ’Tis The Season…, toured the show again around Australia to sell-out crowds. Maggie Raworth is a full-time Journalist for Channel 9 and an all round awesome human being. Elizabeth Anile is a super mum and an accomplished journalist. Caity has taught us the importance of slowing down, enjoying every moment for what it is, and loving yourself! She is an all round fantastic human and an amazing coach!

Joel Granger is a full-time actor currently touring Australia as Elder Mckinley in 'The Book Of Mormon'.  He’s pretty modest but this guy has a lot to boast about. So far he has appeared as Arpad in She Loves Me (Hayes Theatre), Tobias in Sweeney Todd (New Zealand Opera), plus his Television credits include Jack in Channel Nine’s ‘True Story’ with Hamish and Andy and Mark in ‘Please Like Me’ for ABC/Pivot. At only 17 Benny runs his own business as an event coordinator, producer, radio host, photographer, and videographer.  His main passion is helping up and coming musicians build their confidence and give them opportunities to perform and showcase their talents. Hayley Noy is a musical theatre queen and Vocal Coach at Coach Music Academy. She has worked with professionals such as Neil Gladwin, Trevor Jones and Kelly Abbey, and was a lead soloist performing Home (The Wizard of Oz) at Hisense Arena, aired on channel 7. Some of her many credits include Showtrain: A New Australian Musical (Chongy), Bye Bye Birdie (Mae Peterson), RENT (Dance Captain), Sweeney Todd (Ensemble), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), as well as performing her self devised Cabaret ‘Material Girl’, at the Ballarat Cabaret Festival. Since finishing University she has continued working in the Industry and has had experience both auditioning and being a judge. Loads to learn from this talented young lady!
