Sinopse

Minimal-ish is the podcast that encourages you to let go of material things and clear out your space to make room for what matters. Believe it or not, your stuff takes up your time, and cluttered spaces can be a source of anxiousness. Fill your life with the people and things that you love, and get rid of the rest. Through conversations with other women and moms on the same simple-living journey, the Minimal-ish podcast will encourage you towards the grace-filled, realistic form of minimalism that benefits your life and family most. Your host, Desirae Endres, is a stay at home/ work at home mom, teacher, and writer that believes that minimalism and having an uncluttered home environment can benefit everyone, but it doesn't look the same for everyone. Minimalism has changed her life, and if she can make minimalism attainable and sustainable in her life, anyone can. She brings honesty and transparency to the conversation as an admittedly (formerly-ish) unorganized, messy and anxious person.Grab a cup of coffee & listen in!

  • 154: Decluttering Our Kids Stuff Part 1 - A Mindset Shift - Can it Become Selfish?

    13/10/2022 Duração: 29min

I'm bringing you a two part series on what I'm learning as I declutter with my 5 year old daughter. First, we are starting with a reflection. Next week we will get a little more practical with the how. As I was cleaning up my home, doing a nightly reset, this question occurred to me and caused me to reflect. Is our pursuit of minimalism selfish if we have kids. I've seen similar questions discussed in minimalism focused Facebook Groups, and I really wanted to reflect on it for my own home. In this episode, I bring you along on my reflection and offer some questions for you to reflect on this for yourself. When it comes down to it, our why for minimalism is often far from selfish, but my own pursuit for a minimalist aesthetic in my home has crossed the line, and has become a stressor for me in the past. • 151: Learning When to Call it Enough | Striving for Perfection vs. Choosing Contentment

    15/09/2022 Duração: 24min

Today I'm bringing you a solo episode of something I've been learning lately. I hope this idea of learning when to call it enough, stop trying so hard and stop striving for perfectionism resonates with you if you've been feeling tired, run down, even overwhelmed. It's so easy to just never settle in an area of our life because we always think we need to improve. We see others who are better than us or more of an expert than us on social media. We see a new way of doing something we are already doing fine at. And we choose to keep striving for perfect instead of choose to be content with how things are. This isn't about never growing or improving on anything - it's about the fact that we can't be growing and improving in everything at once. Some thing, we're just going to be okay at in this season, and that has to be okay, or we're never going to feel good about ourselves. Listen in- I hope this episode feels like a warm hug or a breathe of fresh air that you need as much as I did/ still do. Links: Find me on
