We see in acts that persecution and opposition cannot stop the plans of God. The Gospel has to spread outside of Jerusalem and everyone needs to hear it.  Acts 8:1-25 reminds us that the Gospel is for all people and it is free for those who would choose to accept it.

Continuing in Acts we look at the opposition to the Apostles. In the midst of criticism and opposition it is the obedience to God that drives the Apostles. 

This week we look at Acts 5:1-11 call to the church to look at their responsibility to be witnesses.  Glasgow Evangelical Church exists to equip people to live the gospel joyously through being Real, Rooted, Relational, and Reaching.

We see in the midst of tribulation that this world has nothing for us. In our response to people who are against Christ we need to be filled with the spirit, in the word of God, alongside other believers, and smothered in prayer. Join us in Acts 4:1-22. 

Peter's boldness in preaching and teaching is because of the truth of the resurrection. Listen with us as we discuss the titles Peter gives Jesus, the mercy that is offered to us, and our response the Risen Savior. He is risen indeed. 

Sometimes what we expect is not what we get, but we find that it is better. The beggar today asked for money but he receives healing. Today being Palm Sunday most people wanted Jesus to conquer Rome and be their king. Instead we see him conquer our sin and set up access to God himself. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can allow Jesus to triumphally change our hearts and heal our minds.
