  • Ep 808 | Lauren Daigle Has "No Idea” About Abortion Law. Is That Ok?

    18/05/2023 Duração: 53min

Today we're talking about popular Christian figures Lauren Daigle and Chris Pratt, who both separately found themselves in the news recently. In an interview promoting her new album, Lauren Daigle was asked what she thought of her state's abortion laws. Her response was that she didn't know and couldn't comment on it. This isn't the first time she's chosen not to address hot-button cultural issues. We discuss the ongoing trend of Christians believing that God is too harsh and mean and that we need to downplay it by playing dumb or refusing to learn what the Bible actually says. This essentially just creates an excuse for Christians to be ignorant about what the Bible actually says. On the other hand, Chris Pratt was asked about his faith during a movie premiere, and his answer is shockingly encouraging coming from a mainstream celebrity. Then, Biden recently claimed that white supremacy is the greatest threat to our nation. We explain why this is not only untrue, but also shameless pandering. We take a look a

  • Ep 807 | 'Loving the Foreigner' Means Opposing Illegal Immigration | Guest: Barry Latzer

    17/05/2023 Duração: 01h13min

Today we're talking about the crisis at the border after Title 42 expired and immigration parole, as well as why Biden's immigration policies are so dangerous for our country. We look at the overcrowding issues at the border, as well as why we seem to see mostly grown men immigrate rather than women and children. Then we're joined by Barry Latzer, emeritus professor of criminal justice and author of "The Myth of Overpunishment: A Defense of the American Justice System and a Proposal to Reduce Incarceration While Protecting the Public," to discuss the failures of the justice system. We talk about the myth of over-punishment in the prison system, recidivism, and who is really paying the price for weak progressive policies on justice. We also look at the cases of Jordan Neely and Daniel Penny and why the system has failed both of them. We discuss some possible solutions, as well as why mental health services and psychiatric wards aren't actually that helpful to those suffering from mental illnesses, which create

  • Ep 806 | Justice for Maple: A Story of Pit Bulls & Political Corruption | Guest: Holly Simon

    16/05/2023 Duração: 01h01min

Today we're talking to Holly Simon of Lawrence and Louise about a tragic pit bull attack that left her beloved cow Maple dead and the city corruption that unraveled following the incident. Holly shares the harrowing story of finding Maple dead in a lake and seeing the dogs run off, as well as the dog owners' refusal to take responsibility. Now, thanks to corrupt city prosecutor Rita Watkins, they continue to go unpunished, and one of their deadly dogs is still free to continue to terrorize their neighborhood. We take a look at why this is not an isolated incident when it comes to pit bulls and give you the opportunity to help this family seek justice not just for themselves, but for their community.  You can email the Fort Smith Board of Directors here: [email protected] You can email Carl Geffken directly here: [email protected] --- Timecodes: (01:30) Intro (06:30) The attack (15:40) Confronting dog owners (28:50) Evidence (36:08) Dog owners' link to city prosecutor (39:42) Ongoing

  • Ep 805 | One Year of My Target Boycott (And They're Queerer Than Ever)

    15/05/2023 Duração: 01h01min

Today we're talking about the one-year anniversary of our Target boycott. Last year, Target announced it would start selling chest binders amid its "Pride Month" collection, which was a step too far. We look back at Target's decision and how dangerous and damaging it is to encourage gender confusion in this popular brand for young people. We look at Target's Corporate Equality Index rating and why the corporation cares more about being progressive than about pleasing its customers. This seems to be reflected in its stock downfall over the past year, though some have presented inflation as the reason for that. Then, we take a look at this year's Target Pride collection, which includes items for ... babies?! We discuss how this ideology is not loving in any way, but rather just a cruel affirmation that people are a mistake, and we share what message would actually be loving to these people. We also share an encouraging Mother's Day message for those who are not mothers, no matter the reason: Your highest callin

  • Ep 804 | My Mom on Mothering Toddlers, Teens & Adults | Guest: Lisa Simmons

    11/05/2023 Duração: 46min

Today we have a very special Mother's Day guest – Allie's mom! She's here to talk about raising children from babies to adults. We start out with some advice for mothers of babies and toddlers: you can't do everything, and that's OK. We talk about the pressure to have it all together and how quickly it will all go by. We also discuss how raising children can be categorized into three six-year segments, and we go through some advice for each segment. We'll share some stories from childhood and give some advice to the mom who is scared to have kids. We hope this episode encourages all you moms and moms-to-be out there! --- Timecodes: (00:51) Interview begins (01:35) Advice to moms of kids ages 0-6 / you can't do everything (07:14) Time goes by quickly (12:18) Advice to moms of kids ages 6-12 (17:32) Sleepovers, friendships & bullying (22:59) Devices & social media (24:44) Advice to moms of kids ages 12-18 / curfews (39:26) Advice to moms of adults (41:12) Grandparents (43:55) Advice to the mom who is scared

  • Ep 803 | The Science Behind Screen Addiction | Guest: Dr. Nicholas Kardaras | Part 2

    11/05/2023 Duração: 56min

Today we're joined again by Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, psychologist and one of the country’s foremost addiction and mental health experts, to discuss screen addiction and the dangers of screen time on our brains. We start off with some of the science of how screens affect our brains, hindering the development of our prefrontal cortex, and the social contagion aspect of social media with the rise of TikTok "ticks," trans anxiety, depression. Ultimately, Dr. Kardaras explains why what he calls "toxic psych metrics" are spiking. We also talk about the differences between television and tablets/phones and why screen time in the past had vastly less dramatic effects than screen time these days does. We discuss the rise in ADHD diagnoses, hyper-fragility, and forming our identities around the internet. What are the consequences of our reality being online, and is it too late for parents to correct their kids' screen time habits? We'll cover these questions and more. You can get Dr. Kardaras' books here: Digital Madnes

  • Ep 802 | Inside the Mind of a Mass Shooter | Guest: Dr. Nicholas Kardaras | Part 1

    09/05/2023 Duração: 01h09min

Today we're joined by Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, psychologist and one of the country’s foremost addiction and mental health experts, to discuss mass shootings, incel culture, and video game violence. We start off with an update on the Texas shooting that took place last weekend and the strange details about the shooter's online history that have come out (which are still being investigated). We discuss how incel culture began as a well-intentioned lonely hearts support group and morphed into an online breeding ground for angry people. We go through some of the ideologies espoused by mass shooters and talk about how search algorithms create a sense of egocentric narcissism, causing people to believe they're the center of their digital world. We argue that while it's worth talking about guns, mass shootings are rooted more in societal and psychological issues that need to be addressed. Then, we ask why these shootings are almost always perpetrated by men and address whether violent video games have anything to do w

  • Ep 801 | Don’t Fall for Weaponized Empathy

    08/05/2023 Duração: 52min

Today we're talking about the atrocious shooting at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas, that took place Saturday. We go through the horrifying event, which took the lives of eight people, and explain why the conversation surrounding gun violence needs to be addressed in good faith by both parties, yet the Left doesn't seem to want to do that. We also look at the media response to the shooting, which – surprising no one – was filled with reporters very quickly building a narrative. Many liberal outlets almost immediately claimed from an anonymous source that the shooter had white supremacist roots despite not even being white. While the event is still being investigated, those reports seem to be largely unfounded at the moment. We also discuss big upcoming changes in our immigration system that will see a massive wave of migrants at the border. Then, we take a look at a CNN article that attempts to gain sympathy for a woman who was forced to carry her baby to term due to Florida's abortion restrictions. The woman

  • Ep 800 | Anthropologie: Women’s Clothes for Men

    04/05/2023 Duração: 47min

Today we're starting with a hot topic in the news: the death of Jordan Neely, who was put in a choke hold on the New York City subway after becoming erratic and throwing garbage on passengers and allegedly threatening violence. Many, including AOC and Ayanna Pressley, are calling this a racially motivated incident, though there's no proof that it was. Vigilante justice may not be the answer, but New York City officials have surely shown no motivation to make New York safe for its citizens, as crime often goes unpunished. Then, we take a look at a Senate bill from Texas that would protect children from gender transition. We take a look at some of the people protesting this kind of bill and talk about how it's only absolute creeps who vehemently fight for the "right" for kids to "gender transition." We also look at a recent Minnesota proposition that would remove language from a current law saying pedophilia is not a sexual orientation, essentially implying ... that it is? We'll also look at some great legislat

  • Ep 799 | Raising Victims: How Leftism Holds Black America Back | Guest: Leonydus Johnson

    03/05/2023 Duração: 51min

Today we're joined by Leonydus Johnson, political commentator and author of "Raising Victims: The Pernicious Rise of Critical Race Theory," to discuss where our country is headed when it comes to how we deal with race. We discuss his accidental fall into the political sphere after realizing the lies of the Left. We talk about why people who claim to be apolitical tend to vote leftward and explain why the ideas of the Left in theory sound so appealing to the unengaged person. We also discuss the rise of BLM and social justice bullying and the real definition of critical race theory and DEI. And Leonydus shares his definition of color-blindness and explains his argument for moving to a post-racial society. --- Timecodes: (00:55) Accidentally falling into politics (03:46) Why do apolitical people lean to the left (05:30) Obama and the shift of mainstream opinion / BLM (18:10) Critical race theory (28:20) Reasons for disparities (35:06) Equality of opportunity / equity (46:44) Colorblindness --- Today's Spon

  • Ep 798 | America’s Sacrificing Orphans on the Altar of Transgenderism | Guests: Jessica Bates & Christiana Kiefer

    02/05/2023 Duração: 39min

Today we're joined by Christiana Kiefer, senior counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, and her client Jessica Bates, who is suing the state of Oregon for denying her the opportunity to adopt two children because she would not comply with the state’s policy to “respect, accept, and support" any child's sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Jessica tells us her story, from losing her husband in a tragic accident to becoming a single mother of five and seeking to provide a home for even more children. Christiana shares the legal details and why the state of Oregon (among other states) appears to be valuing LGBTQ affirmation over putting children in loving homes. • Ep 797 | Can Women Teach the Bible ... at All?

    01/05/2023 Duração: 01h01min

Today we're discussing gender roles in the church, preaching vs. pastoring, and what a woman is allowed to do biblically. There is a debate circulating on social media over whether women should be able to teach academic theology or exposit the Bible even to other women. We start with definitions of biblical patriarchy, complementarianism, and egalitarianism. The patriarchal view says that if a woman is to teach other women, it must be within the bounds of child-rearing and homemaking. We explain why hierarchies in the home and church are important, but why complementarianism is different from biblical patriarchy. We all have proper context and responsibilities for our gifts, but while we agree that women should not be pastors or teach in pastoral roles, we don't see biblical support for the idea that women can't be talking about academic theology publicly, generally speaking. We look at John Piper's breakdown of complementarianism and touch on theological works written by women and discipleship. --- Timecod

  • Ep 796 | Former Lesbian Activist Calls “Soft” Christians to Repentance | Guest: Rosaria Butterfield

    27/04/2023 Duração: 59min

Today we're joined by Rosaria Butterfield to hear her amazing testimony of how she found Christ after years of living in sin. She shares her story of coming to Christ, from being raised by secular Catholics, to coming out as a lesbian and becoming an esteemed feminist academic, to finally being saved and dedicating her life to God. We also talk about a recent article Rosaria wrote in which she publicly repented for engaging in "pronoun hospitality," the idea that affirming someone's chosen identity is a good way to gain someone's trust before sharing the Gospel with him. Rosaria explains why this isn't correct and offers a fresh perspective on why it's actually sinful for Christians to be supportive of "tolerant" or "inclusive" policies around marriage. We end with Rosaria's thoughts on how to stay connected with friends and family who do things like use preferred pronouns, without affirming something that isn't true; her advice to Christians who are struggling with believing they are gay or transgender; and

  • Ep 795 | Why Children Don't Belong to the 'Village'

    26/04/2023 Duração: 58min

Today we're talking about President Biden's re-election campaign launch and why his decision to run again makes no sense not only because his policies have been disastrous all around, but because he and Kamala Harris can't seem to even string together coherent sentences. We discuss how the average Democrat voter may buy into his message of being "moderate" despite his severe failures. Then, we take a look at his recent comments that "the nation's children are all our children." We reject this horrifying, Marxist ideology that aims to break down the family. We also look at a strange new trend of companies offering opt-outs for Mother's Day-themed emails and explain one new theory about why Tucker Carlson may have been forced to leave Fox. --- Timecodes: (01:04) Tribute to Joe Biden (02:20) Biden's campaign video (24:48) "The nation's children are all our children" (43:58) Mother's Day apologists (51:20) Tucker Carlson / Fox theory --- Today's Sponsors: A'Del — go to adelnaturalcosmetics.com and enter pro

  • Ep 794 | Can Fox Survive Without Tucker?

    25/04/2023 Duração: 01h05min

Today we're looking at big news in the conservative media world – Tucker Carlson's shocking and sudden departure from Fox News yesterday. It appears he fully intended to do a show on Monday, which makes this departure all the more bizarre. While we don't know exactly what happened on the inside, many who have had cable news spots before are speculating. But what does this really mean for Fox News, and who could the company possibly replace Tucker Carlson with? We look at AOC's call to silence Tucker and subsequent celebration of his departure from Fox. And the women at "The View" had some extra cringe-worthy things to say as well. Ultimately, Carlson is leaving behind shoes so big we're just not sure Fox can find someone to fill them. We look at his legacy of speaking truth and being a trailblazer in media and share some stories that reveal the kind of person he really is. --- Timecodes: (00:46) Celebrity airplane encounter (09:10) Tucker Carlson & Fox (27:25) AOC calls for Tucker's silencing (30:46) AOC c

  • Ep 793 | An Atheist & a Christian Define Christian Nationalism | Guest: James Lindsay

    24/04/2023 Duração: 01h06min

Today we're joined again by our friend James Lindsay, founder of New Discourses, to discuss Christian nationalism. We first look at how prominent Christian figures define Christian nationalism and how it's easy for conservative Christians to accept a definition of Christian nationalism that can result in unwarranted control over all Christians. Where is the line between morality shaped by a biblical worldview and Christian nationalism, and who decides which worldview shapes policy? We debate a bit where right and wrong and the basis of law come from, then discuss James' quote-tweet of Allie's Nashville shooting take and why he doesn't disagree with her, he's just weary of the Left's trap to fragment the population. We share the truth behind the trans movement and the false omniscience necessary for that worldview. --- Timecodes: (01:05) Definitions & traps of Christian nationalism (24:13) Morality vs. Christian nationalism (37:04) Reformers (39:20) James quote tweets Allie about Nashville shooting (49:55)

  • Ep 792 | What's to Blame for the Chicago 'Teen Takeover'? | Guest: Heather Mac Donald

    20/04/2023 Duração: 50min

Today we're joined by Heather Mac Donald, author of “When Race Trumps Merit: How the Pursuit of Equity Sacrifices Excellence, Destroys Beauty, and Threatens Lives." First, we're covering the Chicago "Teen Takeover," which saw hundreds of teens in the streets of Chicago causing chaos, smashing car windows, firing guns, and attacking bystanders. Chicago's mayor-elect argues for defunding the police and said we shouldn't demonize these young people. We explain why this leads to demonizing cops instead and preventing them from keeping order in these cities. We talk about how it is social breakdown that leads young people to feel no hesitation about going out and shooting people and why the lack of parental control is the biggest problem. We compare two nearly identical stories of young people shot outside strangers' homes and the media response. One victim was white and one is black, but race is only brought up when it comes to the black victim. We explain why racial double standards are lethal and why, while thi

  • Ep 791 | The U.N.’s Push to Decriminalize Child Rape | Guest: James Lindsay

    19/04/2023 Duração: 49min

Today we're joined by our friend James Lindsay to discuss a few hot-button topics in the news. First we talk about Dylan Mulvaney's Budweiser sponsorship and its fallout. James explains why corporations are so obsessed with "inclusion" and what's on the line for them if they don't comply with ESG overlords. Then, we look at the United Nations' new report that calls for the decriminalization of all sexual activity (including pedophilia). Of course, this makes complete sense when you look at the consistent and ever-growing grooming culture among the Left. We talk about why the Left always seems to default to this and how the Right should respond. We also cover a Washington bill that would allow the state to provide sanctuary for children whose parents don't consent to transgender "treatments" or abortions. --- Timecodes: (02:33) Dylan Mulvaney Bud Light sponsorship & ESG (28:04) U.N. calls for decriminalization of all drug use and sexual activity (45:30) Washington bill to allow medical transgender intervent

  • Ep 790 | The Rise of 'Christian' Witchcraft | Guest: Hilary Kennedy

    18/04/2023 Duração: 45min

Today we're joined by BlazeTV host of "4 Minute Buzz" Hilary Kennedy to discuss all kinds of weird occult products and shows popping up specifically for young people. First, a "Christian" ouija board for sale on Amazon promises to connect people with God. Psalm-themed tarot cards, marketed as "affirmation cards," are also deceptively marketed to Christians, and a ouija board marketed specifically to little girls features a pink kitten-themed aesthetic. This further shows that the glamorization and “normalizing” of the occult is becoming more and more prevalent at a pace we haven’t seen in recent decades. We also discuss Disney's new German show "Pauline," about an 18-year-old getting pregnant by and falling in love with Satan, and why modern culture seems to keep coming back to this narrative in different formats. Then, we share some good news from CNN of all places: Abortion numbers have greatly decreased in post-Roe America! --- Timecodes: (00:51) Interview with Hilary begins (02:05) "Christian" ouija bo

  • Ep 789 | Did Anime Turn MrBeast’s Sidekick 'Trans'?

    17/04/2023 Duração: 01h05min

Today we're talking about Chris Tyson of the incredibly popular MrBeast YouTube channel, who announced his transition recently. This has prompted an investigation into his past, which includes what appears to be an obsession with anime, particularly anime with depictions of sexualized young girls. Chris appeared to be a normal, masculine husband and father with a Christian background. So, what happened, why does it matter, and what should we take away from all this? We take a look at other cases of anime influencing gender dysphoria.
