From the beginning words of our text in Zephaniah 3:17, "The Lord God is in your midst," we discover two implications and as you read through Scriptures those implications unfold further: the presence of God among His people and God's pursuit of His people. This is the fourth message in his series The Victorious Plan.

Brother Whitt Madden continues his series The Victorious Plan, in a message titled Know Your God: A Call to Victory. In this message, we look at the Old Testament book of Zephaniah to gain greater understanding of the character of God. As Zephaniah called the nations to repent and turn to God, we hear the call for ourselves and then look to the cross where we see the Lord’s fury and wrath toward sin satisfied in the death of Jesus, revealing His unending love and uncompromising holiness.

In this sermon, Brother Whitt Madden shares from Jude 22-23 what it looks like to commit ourselves to the Word and those who are perishing in a messaged entitled: Know the Word: A Call to Commit. In this second message in the series The Victorious Plan we look at the call to pursue and the call to sacrifice so that others may be saved.

In this message Brother Whitt Madden examines the book of Jude and explains that we are called to know the Word of God to keep ourselves in the love of God. The Word reminds us we have personal responsibility to build ourselves up in the knowledge of His Word, understanding that we are ourselves kept by God. Because we are kept in Him, we can answer the call to reach others with the same Gospel that came to us through others. This is the first message in a new series called The Victorious Plan.

In this message, Pastor Bobby Scott delivers two major symbolic truths about believer’s baptism from Romans 6:1-11. Believer’s baptism symbolizes that as Christ died to sin and is alive to God, so we are by faith in Him. The evidence of that faith is that we will walk in newness of life, which is far greater than church membership, a decision for Christ, or even baptism itself.

In the final message of Pastor Durham’s ministry at Oak Grove Baptist Church, he reminds us that the Gospel was designed to work in a person by the supernatural power of God. The Christian life is the life of God in the soul, energizing with desire and power to do His will. Natural ability cannot perform what only God in can do in a person. The task of the Christian is by faith to cooperate with God’s activity in him or her. With this sermon Michael Durham closes his pastoral ministry and begins an itinerate evangelistic ministry.

After the Apostle Paul told believers in chapter 6 of his epistle to the Romans that they were dead to the reign of sin, he proceeded in the seventh chapter to explain that they were also dead to the law. What does this mean? It means that the Christian no longer has to go through the law to get to God. Before Christ the only way to have relationship with God was by obedience to the Law. But no one could perfectly keep the Law until Christ came. He fulfilled the Law of God and died to it. Once raised from the dead, His relationship to God was no longer governed by the Law. The same it true for us. Unfortunately, most Christians are still trying in the power of their own abilities to keep the Law in order to retain God’s blessings.

In this message based on the text in Romans 12:1-2, Brother Whitt Madden shares the practical implications of what it looks like for the church to be a living sacrifice on mission in our community. It's a call to go, know, and to serve.

Sanctification is mostly seen as a matter of the soul and not the body. However, the Apostle Paul says our bodies and how we use them play in important role in our sanctification. We cannot sanctify ourselves but we can cooperate with the grace of God in us. In this message we will learn what role our bodies have in God's process of sanctifying us.
