For a while it was thought that his manuscript was incomplete, but it is indeed complete, with introduction, part A and part B. It was probably composed in the late 1920s and is one of the composer's last works. "

It is the only maxixe in Nazareth's work, and not by chance, it was signed under a pseudonym: Renaud. Received some recordings by Brazilian bands in the first decade of the twentieth century, but a few years later would become one of the biggest international hits of Brazilian music (and perhaps the first in large-scale), when it was published in 1914 in the USA and Paris it became the great example of the maxixe, being danced in the halls of the 1910s"
