If you are anything like me you long to worship God with your whole being but, like Paul, there is a war within us, between what we want to do and what we actually do. One of the most common impulses of genuine worship is to plead with your own soul, so we preach to ourselves Psalm 103: 1-2 "Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me" — not just some of me, not just half my heart, not just half my energy, not just half my mind, but all that is within me—bless his holy name." Come on, soul, where are you? Wake up! Look at what God has done! Look at what he is like!

God has freely given us access to all of his great benefits! However, the way we see ourselves and how we see God, greatly impact how effectively we lay hold of and flow in these great benefits of God.

Many rely upon their own abilities instead of the supernatural power of God. This spirit of self-sufficiency is a deadly trap. Because an uncommon harvest requires an uncommon provider God seemingly allows us to stay on struggle street, allowing crises after crises until we discover Him.This is one of the reasons many never receive their financial harvest. Let’s recognize the importance of God- become addicted to His Presence, dependent upon His counsel and you will discover financial success and breakthrough like you never imagined.

God is in control in our lives, but this is not always outside of us. One of the main ways God works in our lives, is through us - and He is sometimes silent in the process. God is in control of the universe. He is in control of the beginning and the end. But is He in control of my life? In this message Ps Julie asks us three questions: 1) Is God in control of your life? 2) How much control do you give Him? 3) How does it benefit the plan of God if I let go and let God?

After the Lord created the heavens and the earth (Gen 1:1), he did not abandon the world to run on its own. Rather, he continues to be involved in the lives of his people and in the care of his creation. God is not like a master clock maker who fashioned the world, wound it up, and is not letting it slowly unwind on its own; instead, he is the loving Father who cares for what he has made. God’s continual care for his creation and his people is called, in doctrinal terms, his providence. Providence meaning Preservation, Provision his Government. He rules the world! God is sovereign, the events of history happen under his permissive will and oversight; at times he directly intervenes according to his redemptive purpose, but as we know God’s allowed himself to be limited in his supreme power and rule in this world.

Providence - Each of us as individuals were created by God for a purpose. God sees ahead and therefore, makes wise provision for his creation to assure the fulfillment of that purpose! God is in control - history has meaning; it is going somewhere, it's not a endless cycle.

There is a plan and a purpose ordained by God for your life. When your purpose is revealed to you it acts like a beacon that directs and influences all of your life's decisions. Your purpose will keep your path straight, and although the journey toward it may have its trials, understand that God is in control.

Every biblical doctrine is informed by the doctrine of God as the Creator of the heavens and the earth - it sets us apart from every other world religion. It doesn’t take too long when we realize that the world is not perfect, especially his people supposedly made in his image. His image to love, forgive, show mercy, be patient, to give, to worship and serve God. Is it out of control? Yes to a large degree! “1Jn 5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. Revelations 12:9 “misleading the whole world astray”. But God has a plan and it’s coming to pass as the Greatest Story ever told – it includes you and I – freewill chooses His plan or ours.

Sometimes in the chaos of all that is going on in the world we can get dismayed. We ask questions about God's character and wonder where he is in the midst of it all. Sometimes we forget there is a grand story unfolding in the midst of the chaos. If we take a deeper look at the story we find there is an incredible energy moving us forward into a glorious new age where everything is made new.

There needs to come a time in your life when you realise you can't help God anymore. You just need to lay back in the loving arms of Abba. You need to breath out those perfect words " Abba Father - Abba daddy ... I belong to you." You need to be cradled in the loving arms of your Father and know that God is in control.
