What is the prophetic? Have you been hanging on to a prophetic word from the past and yet to see it fulfilled?The prophetic is the gift of foresight and insight. The prophetic reaches into your world and locates you.  The prophetic gives foresight to use prophecy in the practical to tell people who they are. The prophetic gives insight for how to deal with our present situation. The Holy Spirit is always prophesying to us. God is not in the business of telling you what to do, but God is in the business of telling you who you are. You must partner behavior modification with identity instilment. How do you discover what God’s gift is for you? Once discovered, what do you do with your gift from God?If you profess Jesus as Lord, that’s in partnership with the Holy Spirit. Inline with this partnership, you are called to be effective in the world. The effective Christian produces spiritual fruit. Understanding that you are gifted is the first step. But it’s only the gift on display that produces fruit. Gifts are given to you in seed form. For that seed to be developed, it must take root in the soil of serving. We are gifted for helping each other. God has designed it that way so we would need each other. It’s not just about what God is doing in you, it’s about what God is doing through you. The Bible uses different images to describe the nature of the Holy Spirit that indicate various dynamics — In the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit descended “like a dove.” In Acts 2 the disciples encountered the Holy Spirit like “a mighty rushing wind” and descended upon them “as tongues of fire.” While these are mere descriptors attributed to the Holy Spirit, it’s important we understand that the Holy Spirit is a ‘WHO’, not a “WHAT.”In this first installment of the Temple series, Lead Pastor Adam Smallcombe begins to unpack the person of the Holy Spirit and how we as believers are carriers of the Holy Spirit. This is your win; to bear fruit - fruit that will last. The enemy doesn’t care how many days you live so long as you don’t live in the days you have.
