Thankfulness is not an occasional act, but a lifestyle of intentional and spontaneous appreciation that leads us into the presence of God, empowers us to be grateful in all circumstances, and generates an overflow of generosity.

For this year's Outreach Sunday, Rob sat down with Outreach Pastor, Richard Ramsey and discussed everything NMC is involved in locally and globally. We could not be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community without your generosity and time serving.       Thank you, North Metro.

For the conclusion of our series "Better Together: part five" guest pastor and author of the book this series is based on, Rusty George, talks about the power of community and serving others, despite our tendencies to build our lives around ourselves and our desires.

In part four of our series “Better Together," Pastor Daniel Hicks spoke about the power of being honest, vulnerable, and authentic with the people in our lives - from our families to our small groups.

In part three of "Better Together," Rob continues to illustrate how in community. we will always be better together. Sometimes it's getting out of our comfort zone to serve others, but in doing so, as Rob points out, "I find that not only strengthens their faith, but my faith is strengthened, too." We are most like Jesus when we're with others, because the only person we serve when we're alone is ourselves. Jesus said, "I came to serve not be served."

In part two of "Better Together" Rob illustrates how our society gravitates toward isolation and the fact that loneliness is now an epidemic. But God designed us to live in community with one another, as Jesus modeled choosing "we" over "me" while on Earth.

As we continue on in our 20 series, guest teacher and former lead pastor, Mark Henry shares a powerful message on the love Christ. 

In the first message of our 20 Year Anniversary series, lead Pastor Rob McDowell walks us through one of the many Biblical 'lists' that many forego in reading or study... But Rob helps us hear lists in a new light, in light of cherishing the community that God has created us for.

In the conclusion of this series, NMC lead pastor Rob McDowell explores the topic of race. The conversation Rob says, "might ruffle a few feathers" starts with the elephant in the room, white privilege. In discussing race, we discover some Bibilical examples of those disciples who we can learn from. Because ultimately, we ought to take responsibility for the racial brokenness in our culture.

In the series "Separation of Church and Hate," Pastor Rob is tackling the truth behind the topics no one wants to discuss out of fear. In week one of the series, Rob talks about the idea of tolerance. We can have love and respect despite our disagreements.

Would You Rather build your life on the temporary (this world) or the eternal (God, His Kingdom, and your forever)? We have a choice to live with an eternal perspective or through the eyes of our worldly culture that pursues things that are nothing more than things.   Our hope is that God will open our eyes to have an eternal perspective for His desires for us.

Humility or Pride | Lead Pastor, Rob McDowell, illustrates what pride really looks like and brings our darkest tendencies under the light of God's truth. The object of this Would you Rather is "Humility or Pride"

In our Fall Kickoff series, "Would You Rather?" Rob uses Matthew 7:24, 1 Timothy 6:2–10, and Luke 9:23 to illustrate how we have the choice of Wisdom or Foolishness... We often allow what other people think of us to define us. Behavior flows from Identity, and our identity can be shaped by Foundational factors or Reiterated Reminders, but if we listen to what the world says about us, we will miss what God has spoken into us.
