March Madness is here! Host Adam Burke didn’t want to leave BangTheBook Radio listeners empty-handed for this first day of the first round, so he recorded about a 15-minute pep talk for our listeners with some important betting concepts to keep in mind throughout the day. With the odds screen lighting up like a Christmas tree, it is another reminder that the most wonderful time of the sports year is here. Adam talked about what bettors should be doing in terms of looking at the board to ascertain who is betting what and then figure out why they are doing it. That is an important key today and tomorrow, when public investment certainly carries more weight in the betting markets. It is also important, as always, to keep live betting and derivative betting in mind. Adam talked about a few of the things to look for over the course of a game to grab some profitable opportunities.

We've got one more full-length show this week to get you ready for March Madness. Two guests will join host Adam Burke, as Wes Reynolds and Ralph Michaels share their expertise and insights with our excellent listeners. Adam and Wes will start with a few minutes on the Arnold Palmer Invitational and then talk about the NIT, as the rule changes have certainly done some interesting things to those games. With Wes, the guys will focus on the Midwest Rergion and the West Region for the NCAA Tournament. Host Adam Burke opened up the show with a few notes on the recent MLB signings of Jake Arrieta and Neil Walker and what they mean from a futures standpoint while waiting for today's first guest, Brian Blessing, to join the show. Once Brian did, it was almost all college basketball the rest of the way. Adam and Brian discussed the South Region, as well as the play-in game tonight for St. Bonaventure against UCLA. March Madness Week is here!! It also happens to be the week that the other postseason tournaments start as well and our very smart listeners are all over that. Host Adam Burke will open up the week with the Monday Mailbag segment, which features tons of listener questions about the NIT, hedging March Madness futures, the possibility of upsets, and a little bit on baseball betting systems and the AL Central race. The Charlotte Hornets lost to the Brooklyn Nets in a game that was mentioned on the show as a good situational spot for the favorites. Sometimes it is good to reinforce important betting concepts in light of a bad outcome and Adam took the time to do that on today’s show.
