Dudes On Hockey

The Sharks aren’t scoring a lot of goals, and have recently lost 5 of 7.  Is it time to be concerned?

Even though the Sharks dropped the last game of 2016 to the Kings, the Dudes are upbeat.  The young guys are playing well, and there are positive updates on the expansion draft front.

The Sharks have a surplus of forwards, such that they can scratch Joel Ward and still beat Calgary badly.  But questions loom on the horizon.

The Dudes are back from a hiatus, and the Sharks are rolling, winning six of seven.  Mike and Doug cover the streak, Burns’ new contract, Hertl, Boedker, and all the stuff missed.

After a terrible week at home, the Sharks go on the road and win against two playoff teams.

The Sharks go 3-0 this week at home with satisfying wins against the Ducks, Blue Jackets, and Predators.  Can they keep it up, especially next Saturday against Pittsburgh?

The Sharks don’t get the job done on the road trip with a disappointing collapse in Pittsburgh, but the season is still very young.

The Sharks are 2-0 in this young season, with Jonathan Quick going out with an injury early in the Sharks’ opener. Both new Sharks are playing well, and life is good.

The season is only a day away, and the Dudes manage to cover the Sharks and everything else in the league in preparation for the regular season.

The World Cup is almost over, but the Dudes are most excited for training camp and the preseason.  There are plenty of players looking to make the team, and some well-known Sharks may be out.

After an extended break, the Dudes are back, ready to talk hockey again.  It’s been such a quiet summer, so it will take a little while to get the engines revved up again for the coming season (and World Cup).

The Sharks did sign Matt Nieto, but they still need another goalie.  Where will Nieto slot, and what’s available on the market in net?

The Sharks are again active on the first day of free agency, signing both Mikkel Boedker and David Schlemko to contracts.  The Dudes break it all down, including two huge NHL trades.

Although the hockey is over, and San Jose was not triumphant, the Dudes are thrilled the Sharks did so well.

The Sharks drop the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final against the Pens, and seem outmanned for much of both games.  Yet, they were in both, and game 2 went to OT.  What can the Sharks do to turn it around?

The Sharks rebound again after a bad game, this time winning games 5 and 6, and clinching a berth in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in history.  They will face the Pittsburgh Penguins.  Wow!
