2023 will be the final year of the 4-team College Football Playoff format. In 2024, 12 teams will be included, including home games for the higher seeds in the first round (5 vs. 12, 6 vs. 11, 7 vs. 10, 8 vs. 9). Then the quarterfinals and semifinals will be played at traditional bowl sites, with the national championship game rotating between major venues as it currently does. Did the CFP get this right? If you look at the gambling odds, Ohio State is the slight favorite to win the Big Ten championship in 2023. However, Stuart Mandel from The Athletic has picked Michigan to win the Big Ten title in '23.
