This is after landing the nation's No. 1 corner recruit -- Devin Sanchez -- just last month.Speaking of Ohio State coaches, what is going on with Bill O'Brien? Is he going to stay at Ohio State as offensive coordinator/QB coach? Or is he going to take the head coaching job at Boston College?Dan Rubin and Dave Biddle will discuss all of that, take questions from the live audience and more. All of that is coming your way on the Monday 5ish.

Hicks, Gabe Powers ... and maybe ... Sonny Styles?Might Ohio State land right tackle Ozzy Trapilo from Boston College if he enters the transfer portal? 29/01/2024 Duração: 38min

  • Our favorite moves this month from OSU

    26/01/2024 Duração: 34min

It has been a January like none other for Ohio State's football program (alright, not counting early 2003 and early 2015 when the Buckeyes won national titles, but we digress). What have been our favorite moves in particular? Is the transfer of Caleb Downs atop the list? What about the other transfers, such as Will Howard, Julian Sayin, Seth McLaughlin, Quinshon Judkins and more?Or what about all the talented upperclassmen who decided to make one more run in Columbus and put the NFL on hold for a year. Is a guy like Denzel Burke or Emeka Egbuka (or fill in the blank of another upperclassman) returning at the top of the list?Could it be the hiring of Bill O'Brien as offensive coordinator and Ryan Day taking on more of a "CEO" role?Or is it the boosters stepping up and making Ohio State a major player in the NIL game?Yes, we get it. "All of the above" would be the correct answer. However, on today's show, Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle are going to talk about their favorite storylines from this month. That and mu

  • National title or bust for Buckeyes? | Hotter seat for Holtmann

    24/01/2024 Duração: 28min

We are not typically "national championship or bust" people here at Bucknuts. But is 2024 the exception to that rule as Ohio State is concerned? We are beginning to think so. Do the Buckeyes have one missing piece though, perhaps? An offensive tackle via the portal? Or are there in-house options that will more than hold the fort down? Also, just how hot is Chris Holtmann's seat at this point? The Buckeyes dropped to 3-5 in Big Ten play after a lackluster loss at Nebraska last night.Matt Baxendell joins Dave Biddle on the Wednesday 5ish to discuss that and much more.

  • Get Carter? | 'Apex predator' perspective

    23/01/2024 Duração: 42min

It was an enjoyable exercise.Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters!

  • Just Sayin: Buckeys continue to dominate portal | Fong's reaction

    22/01/2024 Duração: 34min

After landing the top overall player in the transfer portal on Friday -- safety Caleb Downs -- the news couldn't get much better for Ohio State, right? Or the Buckeyes could go out two days later and nab the No. 1 quarterback recruit in the country in the 2024 class according to the 247Sports Composite, Julian Sayin. Since he signed with Alabama and enrolled early, he technically counts as part of OSU's amazing haul from the transfer portal (rather than part of the Buckeyes' 2024 recruiting class). This means Ohio State has now landed the No. 1 overall player in the portal (Downs), the No. 1 2024 QB recruit in the country (Sayin), the No. 1 QB available in the portal (Will Howard), the No. 1 running back available in the portal (Quinshon Judkins), the No. 2 interior lineman available in the portal (Seth McLaughlin) and a quality tight end in Ohio University transfer Will Kacmarek. We're just Sayin', we have never seen anything like this before and we are absolutely loving it.Dan Rubin and Dave Biddle discuss al

    18/01/2024 Duração: 43min

Ohio State has made several impact additions via the transfer portal. Now the fight is on to make possibly the biggest non-QB addition in portal annals. It won't be easy. But Ohio State is in the mix for Alabama safety transfer Caleb Downs. We have Bill Kurelic and Mark Porter dive deep on Downs, other transfer targets and offer a breakdown of prospects visiting Ohio State this weekend. Some names to know: Jared Curtis, Carter Lowe, Maxwell Riley. Then we bring in Steve Helwagen to give you all the info on new AD Ross Bjork. • Ohio State's NFL Draft role call with guru Dane Brugler

    17/01/2024 Duração: 47min

We're thrilled to welcome back NFL Draft expert Dane Brugler from The Athletic. He treats us to several appearances each draft cycle to detail the Buckeyes headed for the NFL. The head count is not as robust this time around. We've discussed over a dozen draft eligible Buckeyes in some years. This year? Three. Was there a talent drop-off we need to be concerned about? Hardly. Besides Marvin Harrison, Jr., Mike Hall, Matt Jones, Cade Stover, the rest opted for another year in Columbus. There are several others we discussed including Tommy Eichenberg, Josh Proctor and Steele Chambers.Dane breaks down where the draft eligibles could land but also let's us in on where those who chose to return could have been picked.Add in questions about C.J. Stroud and great contributions from our LIVE views and you've got yourself a nice little show.Spend 5ish with us this a.m, 'Nutters!
