Prophecy is a gift of the Holy Spirit, a ministry of the Father and also a vocation given by Christ. How does prophecy change depending on the application?

Can any follower of Christ learn to prophesy? The short answer is yes, biblically speaking. Examining the New Testament we discover that the gift of prophecy was common in first century churches. In today's culture, prophecy is completely misunderstood and often abused. Why did God give us this gift and how will it help people become better Christians? A needed discussion.

All Christ-followers are commanded to prepare for each time they meet and be ready to contribute something. Most come only to receive which is backwards. All believers should function in all nine gifts of the Holy Spirit according to Paul.The purpose of these gifts is to "benefit" everyone. When gifts are used to gain something, they are abused.

Are there prophets in the church today? If so, what do they do? What about false prophets? What role does prophecy take in the overall present and future of the church?

The Old Covenant was written on stone. The New Covenant is written on the heart. But our hearts, scripture reveals, is desperately wicked. We need Jesus in the deepest part of our being.

What makes the New Covenant better than the Old? Jesus' words at the Last Supper changed everything - but how?

'We each face challenges and problems in life that are way too big for us to overcome through our own skills or efforts. Many Christians find a variety of coping mechanisms to live with their problems instead of relying on God to remove them. Today, we talk about dealing with your Goliaths.

How We Believe determines how we receive. Jesus made receiving the condition upon which we become part of His family. We have nothing to give unless we are in a continual state of receiving from God. How do we position ourselves to receive?

What we believe determines what we receive. So, what is the lens you use to view the world around you? If you perceive obstacles as insurmountable, you will be defeated. If you perceive obstacles through God's lenses, all things are possible.

What we perceive determines what we believe. To rebuild and strengthen your faith, it is imperative you understand the role of your mind and thinking process. Unless our minds are transformed by God, we will always operate with weak faith.

Once we are clear about deception, we are ready to put on the armor Christ gave each and every believer. We speak at length about each weapon and how to use it in practical everyday life.

Self-Deception is the worst so far because you think you are fine, when in reality your spiritual condition is terrible. The Laodicean church is described by Christ as poor and naked even though visually, they were prosperous and successful. What causes Christians to deceive themselves?
