Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times James K. Walker, a converted Mormon, is the president of Watchman Fellowship, an apologetics and discernment ministry that evaluates cults and new religious movements. He has an extensive speaking ministry and is the author of The Concise Guide to Today’s Religions and Spirituality. James has also organized and participated in evangelistic outreaches to Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons and New Agers.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Scott Willis pastored 17 years in the Chicago area. In 1994, after a tragic van accident, Scott and his wife, Janet, experienced the loss of six of their nine children. Since that time, God has sustained and comforted them, for which they are grateful. Janet has written and illustrated a children’s book, A Dad’s Delight, about the mercy of God. Scott and Janet are thankful for the 27 grandchildren God has graciously given them.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Dan Breeding began working with animals when he was thirteen and is a graduate of the Moorpark College of Exotic Animal Training and Management Program in Ventura, CA. His love for animals and understanding that animals are a unique result of God’s creation led him to found wildlife Christian outreach ministry, Creatures of Creation. Dan and his wife, Debbie, live in Raleigh. They have three children: Taylor, Rachel and Logan.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Richard Blackaby currently serves as the president of Blackaby Ministries International. He is the author or co-author (with his father, Henry Blackaby) of more than twenty-three books including: Experiencing God: Day by Day; Hearing God’s Voice; and Experiencing God (revised edition-with his father). A native of Canada, Dr. Blackaby and his family have recently relocated to Greenville, SC.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Keith Davey is the Founder and Director of Missions to Military, a ministry that provides centers for evangelism and discipleship of military personnel. Missions to Military has served servicemen and women for more than fifty years, with centers in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Davey is the father of Colonial’s Senior Pastor Stephen Davey.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Bobby Richardson, former New York Yankee and 1960 World Series MVP, led a storied career in baseball. He played 1400 games with the Yankees during a ten-year run that included nine American League pennants. After his career as a professional player, he went on to coach at the college level, including a stint at the University of South Carolina, where he took his team to the final game of the College World Series. Bobby is still active with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and lives in Sumter, SC with his wife, Betsy.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Richard Allen Farmer is currently an itinerate concert artist and preacher. He has served as Senior Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and as Dean of the Chapel at both Gordon College and Taylor University. Richard travels throughout the United States and overseas, inspiring audiences with his musical gifts and teaching. He and his wife, Rosemary, live with their son, Timothy, in Dallas, TX.

Summer Series 2009 Safe Harbor: Faith in Turbulent Times Mark Hitchcock, a prolific writer on end-time Bible prophecy, currently serves as Senior Pastor of Faith Bible Church in Edmond, OK. Beginning his professional life as an attorney, Mark worked four years for a judge at the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals before answering a call to full-time ministry and pursuing his PhD at Dallas Theological Seminary. Mark and his wife, Cheryl, live in Edmond, OK with their two sons.
