A Creator owns you, a King rules you, but if that Creator or King is your Father all of His thoughts, feelings and actions are directed toward your best interests.

Our concept of God not only determines how we will relate to Him but also what we reveal about Him to others. These rules for prayer don’t earn or merit God’s attention. Christ’s indispensible and costly love on the cross has done that. They reveal whether you are praying to the real God of the Bible or a figment of your imagination.

We can pray because God is our loving Father, Christ is our mediator giving us access to the throne of the universe, and the Spirit Himself indwells us (Eph2:18). Learning how to pray is about learning the heart and art of prayer.

The driving force behind all great music, art, literature, drama, architecture and even great athletic performances is PASSION. Nothing great is ever accomplished without PASSION. Nothing great is ever sustained without PASSION. PASSION is what makes us come alive, vibrant, active, and creative. PASSION is what turns ordinary people into extraordinary. Nothing will REVIVE YOUR PASSION like living out the implications of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Prayer is conversation with God. However, conversations can remain mere exchanges of information that do not lead to true personal encounter and relationship. We don’t just want to know about God, but to know God, to seek his face and presence.

Prayer is an instinct, a gift, a conversation, an encounter with God—a foretaste of heaven on earth. Prayer is a continuation of a conversation God started. Since prayer is our reply to God, we need to explore how He first speaks and how we can learn to answer Him.

The community of Jesus followers were a small group of broken people. Jesus had been taken to be put to death. Peter had denied Him, and His other followers had abandoned Him. However, after Jesus was resurrected, He sent word by the women who first went to His tomb that the disciples would see Him in Galilee (Mt. 28:10). Jesus was gently bringing restoration to this small group as a whole, and to the individuals within it.

You can’t control what will happen to you in 2015 but you can control how you respond, which reveals your character. Your circumstances matter far less to your happiness than you think, it’s more about character. Your character is the sum total of your choices. We make our choices and then our choices make us.

The Lord’s promised return is the Christian’s blessed hope (Titus 2:13), yet the time of Jesus’ return and the manner in which he will come are highly debated issues. Studies of the events of His return are called studies of the “last things,” or “eschatology.” The most important question is, “How should we live in light of Christ’s return?”

The reason the church has very little impact on the culture around us is because we are too much like the culture around us. Life change doesn’t happen simply by trying harder to live according to biblical principles but by confronting the pseudo savior’s that are holding our hearts hostage, with the Gospel. Jesus may be our Savior in principle but in practice pseudo saviors can still control our heart’s deepest affections.

Worship is the life we live in Christ. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
