When a child exhibits the nature of his or her father, he or she is perceived as the child of the father. Practicing righteousness is normal - but it is not inevitable for one who is born of God.

Abiding in Him involves spending time in the Word, obeying His commands, living as Christ lived, and loving our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Believers, we are all called to abide in Christ and to, therefore, bear fruit. If we fail to do this, it will cost us in this life. We need to abide or we will be disciplined.

What we see from this text is that if we want to abide in Christ and if we want to live in fellowship with Yahweh, we need to walk in the light.

Antichrist is a term that has become very familiar to Christians. It is a somewhat ominous word that carries with it certain apocalyptic visions. In this verse, it is both singular and plural.

To deny the fact of the Second Coming is to deny the inspiration of Scripture. Do you agree? Well, I believe that the time of the Second Coming is just as clear as the fact of the Second Coming.

We are living in the first days of the eternal age. Missing these important time statements cause people to misapply, by nearly 2000 years, many verses in the Bible.

Probably one of the most common beliefs among Christians is that once the gospel is preached throughout the whole world, Christ will return and the world will end.

If you love the world or the things in the world, you will lose them all at death. All that the worldly person lives for is gone in an instant and means nothing in light of eternity.

Agape love is often defined as a divine love from God, but is that truly the case in Scripture?

The key to growth,then, is spending time in fellowship with the Son of God and his Word. If you want to be a mature Christian, you have to abide in His Word.

And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
