What does it mean that Jesus is king? How was that demonstrated in how He taught, healed, and freed people from demonic possession? This week we’ll look at those questions and what they mean for us today in Mark 1:21-34.

The Gospel of Mark introduces two terms that are not commonly understood by your culture: "Gospel" and "Kingdom." We'll look today at what those mean in Mark 1:14-20 and what this means for our lives today.

This morning, we will explore the call to make disciples through the “Parable of the Talents.” As Jesus made disciples, he taught them to make other disciples. Discipleship was Jesus’ strategic plan for the spread of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Through this parable, Jesus illustrates the great importance of obeying this call.

Today we continue in our June series on the profile of spiritual maturity that we look for in our spiritual leaders, especially our elders and pastors. This profile also reveals what Jesus calls all of us to grow in as we follow Him and cooperate with the Holy Spirit's work of sanctification. The biblical texts for this series are: 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, and Acts 20:17-35.

In Luke 10 Jesus sends out believers to every place he was about to go. Today, we will look at how He sent them and the results that came from their obedience.
