Pastor Paul Ndungu is our guest speaker for this sermon. He and his wife Milka evangelize, plant churches, disciple, train, and minister to the Maasai tribe and several other tribes in Kenya. Around 302 churches among the Maasai tribe are under his care. Central takes a short term mission trip to the area every year to work with Pastor Paul building churches and doing dental work. Paul has also helped develop an orphanage in Uganda.  He is a living example of how God will use our obedience to advance His Kingdom in great and mighty ways.

This beautiful Psalm is a poetic celebration and response to God’s personal revelation both through His Creation and through His Word. The Psalm can be viewed simply in three parts. The first section celebrates God’s revelation in and through His creation. We start by celebrating about what we know of God through the universe around us (1-6). Then we learn of the nature and benefits of God’s special revelation in His Word. (7-11). The final section is very personal. It expresses appropriate personal words of response to the Lord. 

In Acts 1:6-12, we witness the final moments that the disciples spent with Jesus before his ascension.  As the disciples ask about the restoration of the kingdom to Israel, Jesus redirects their attention to three things: 1. The sovereignty of the Father. 2. The power of the Holy Spirit. and 3. The call to be a witness.  In this sermon, as we come to Jesus with questions of our own, it is my prayer that we would listen to what He has to say and that we would walk in obedience.

In this sermon, Heath Hudspeth will dig into 1 Peter 5:1-11 and look at what Peter shared through the Holy Spirit on how the leaders and the congregation should respond as they follow the Holy Spirit and draw closer to Christ?

When Jesus cleansed the temple in Mark 11:15-18, on first glance, it would appear that He was just angry from what he saw and determined to end the sinful practices going on there. However, as we explore this passage we will see that Jesus goes much deeper than this when He explains His actions to the people. What He says not only affected the people of that day, but also has a profound impact on us today!
