White Roof Radio - The Mini Cooper Podcast

What started as a short show to catch up with Brian about his trip to Germany for a special event held for MINI and BMW Genius', turned into another rousing edition of White Roof Radio! Todd admits that the JCW Clubman isn't as bad as he initially thought, at least on the track, Brian does let us know everything (he could) that he learned from his trip to Munich, and Gabe gets really riled up about Apple Car Play and his un-realistic expectations of it. Very oddly shaped show for you guys this week. Todd took the helm 100% this week, with Chad and AJ. Skipping news this week, they spent some time talking about driving MINIs, fast, in a controlled environment. AJ was on the west coast at the BMW Driving Center in Palm Springs, Todd did a Miles Ahead event in Kansas City and Chad even took the DT Mule out for some track time. Plus Todd fills us in on why he doesn't really like the Clubman. Your patience lately has been appreciated! We have all been having crazy schedules and whatnot, keeping us for making a show for you on a consistent basis. With the announcement of the MINI Electric concept this week, our Slack channel was blowing up, so we figured we had better get that on wax before we lost it! We talk about the design of the concept and our thoughts about it and electric cars overall. Then, because most of the time we can't help ourselves, we started in on marketing and how we think it's pretty ridiculous lately and not doing much to help sell cars. What do you think? It's that crazy slow time of the year where nothing is really happening anywhere due to back to school. Still, we solidier on and talk about flight delays, throttle response in a Ferrari vs. a MINI, and . Gabe continues to profess his love for the JCW Clubman, while agreeing that the Countryman is good too. And then well all tell him he is wrong about the new MINI package that is supposed to look like Gulf livery. It just doesn't, but it's good on MINI to give us a car that isn't black, grey, white, gray or black. As of this posting, we have entered our 13th year of podcasting! And, as Todd likes to say, we don't hate each other yet!
