In this week's show I talked with Carol McManus, America's LinkedIn Lady. We discussed the circumstances which prompted her to start her own business, and how she used social media to help her coaching and consulting business grow. She became an expert in LinkedIn and now hosts her own internet radio show everyday on the RockStar Radio network called "The LinkedIn Lady." We also discussed how teens can learn to use social media responsibly as their choices have consequences far beyond school. My guest this week on Success Profiles Radio was Ally Freund Loprete, who is a champion for those who seek to balance careers with caring for their children. Many parents struggle with needing 2 incomes while raising a family, but Ally and I discussed how parents can stay at home, meet & exceed their financial needs, and still be a vital part of their kids' lives. We explored different work-at-home opportunities, and how to run a successful home business.

My guest this week was Matt Jones, who survived leukemia after being told he had only a 10% chance of living. He had a goal to run a marathon and share his journey with others, which he has done as an author and motivational speaker. We discussed many of the principles he has lived by as discussed in his book "Life's A Marathon: 26.2 Winning Strategies for Personal and Professional Success".

In this week's show, I interviewed Rick Limpert, who is a contributing writer for Yahoo! His specialties are sports and technology, and we discussed how social media has changed the way we view and cover sports. We also spent a lot of time discussing many of the athletes, Rick has interviewed. We talk about why he thinks they are successful and how that applies to our every day lives.

This week's show featured my guest Shanna Mann, who diverse career has spanned from driving a truck, to running a retreat center and alternative healing facility, and then to writing a book. We discussed the value of persisting in the face of failure, venturing outside the comfort zone, and the importance of valuing the journey versus valuing the destination. We also discussed why owning your own business is less risky than having a steady job. Joel Canfield also joined us to discuss the book he and Shanna co-authored called "Why We Lead". Shanna is also a Transformational Awareness coach where she helps people see their decision making processes and how they impact the choices we make.

On this show, I talked with Stephanie Chandler about how to build authority in your business by writing a book, blogging, and using social media. We discussed how anyone can write a book relating to their business or target audience, as it opens up many promotional opportunities that might otherwise not be available. We discussed the value of using Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and how these tools can be used to get more attention for you and your business.

This week's show featured my special guest Tamera Nielsen. She has had many health challenges throughout her life, and has used those experiences to build a business that specializes in helping people through very difficult life changing situations such as trauma, job loss, relocation,and much more.
