Sinopse
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the world population is expanding at a mind-boggling rate. The world reached 1 billion people in 1800; 2 billion by 1922; and over 6 billion by 2000. It is estimated that the population will swell to over 9 billion by 2050. That means that if the worlds natural resources were evenly distributed, people in 2050 will only have 25% of the resources per capita that people in 1950 had. If we intend to leave our children and grandchildren with the same standard of living we have enjoyed, we must preserve the foundation of that standard of living. Go Green Radio is the beginning of an important new shift in the way we treat our world. This grassroots program promotes the very best character traits in children and adults: caring for yourself and caring for others. Through simple, responsible behavior shifts, together we can protect human health through environmental stewardship. Go Green Radio airs live every Friday at 9 AM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica.

Helen built an AI platform to stop brands from accidentally greenwashing themselves before they hit publish. Zena is an AI pre-publication governance platform that checks sustainability content against five regulatory frameworks — Green Claims Code, EU Green Claims Directive, CSRD, ASA guidelines, and more — before it goes public. It was built because her clients kept asking the same question: is this claim safe to make? Helen is the founder of HN Communications, a B Corp-certified sustainability communications consultancy whose clients include Bosch, Heineken, Asahi, Nissan, and Aston Martin. She came up through the UK Parliament and government affairs roles at Virgin Atlantic and Nissan before founding her own agency in 2017. She knows the regulatory landscape from the inside.

The bill comes on the heels of test results that showed contamination of nine out of 10 samples of peaches, nectarines and plums tested. Assembly Bill 1603, introduced by Assemblymember Nick Schultz (D-Burbank), would ban the use, sale and manufacture of PFAS pesticides in California beginning in 2035. For the 23 of these PFAS pesticides that are already prohibited by the European Union, the ban would begin earlier, in 2030. Here Comes the Sun, a new book from Bill McKibben
22/08/2025 Duração: 59minFrom the acclaimed environmentalist, Bill McKibben, Here Comes the Sun tells the story of the sudden spike in power from the sun and wind—and the desperate fight of the fossil fuel industry and their politicians to hold this new power at bay. And he shows how solar power is more than just a path out of the climate crisis: it is a chance to reorder the world on saner and more humane grounds. You can’t hoard solar energy or hold it in reserves—it’s available to all.
