Unfortunately, Haiti and other islands in the Caribbean didn't fair so well. There are over 250 deaths in Haiti as well as massive loss of property and power loss. Parts of Central Florida were hammered as well with more destruction and power outages. I give my take on the Life Lessons I've learned from dealing with the threat of Hurricane Matthew as well as the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in 1992--the most destructive hurricane that hit South Florida in many decades.
